Full Stack Engineer

Amsterdam
€3200 - €4000

Are you looking for a new adventure, are you eager to hone your skills daily and do you want to build great SaaS products? You might have just found what you are looking for…

Our partners product is a state of the art SaaS application for PR professionals. Over 400 business-to-business clients use their software on a daily basis (a.o. ING, KLM, Unicef). We are looking for a frontend/full stack engineer to expand the talented tech team. In the next year they aim to radically expand their international user base. This is pretty ambitious and it would be awesome if you’d be part of this crazy adventure!

The Team
30 engineers, sales & account managers and data experts – always aiming to surpass themselves. Currently, we’re looking for a full-stack engineer to join them in their beautiful Amsterdam offices (full time). They run a lean and mean operation in a very entrepreneurial environment. At the same time, they have the best lunches in the world and throw a pretty decent office party every now and then. Under normal circumstances that is... But even now, their rooftop terrace still allows for a safe Friday afternoon drink among colleagues.

The role
First of all: you impact their products daily. There’s no red tape and you are in charge, together with their dev team and product owner obviously. We ship fast and there’s loads of flexibility. Your main focus will be on their powerful real-time journalist & news platform. Work that you might end up doing includes:

  • Automate the creation of scrapers using our very own scraper framework;

  • Improve the capabilities and performance of this scraper framework continuously;

  • Design, build and refine their API architecture and all the surrounding components, also integrating it with their Public Relations CRM system;

  • Build and contribute to epic web apps using technologies such as: NodeJS, Express, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Ansible, Pug, React, Redux, Webpack and many others…;

  • Using concepts like context-free grammar and DSL, JWT, rest API, unit & integration tests;

Furthermore, you are eager to design, develop and test quality single-page apps. You’ll build architectures capable of dealing with large volumes of user data without ever compromising on usability or performance. Together with the team, you craft a great user experience by getting all the details in their application’s performance and behaviour just right. They code for top-shelf clients, which means… Well, as you’ve read this vacancy up to here, you know what it means. Jump in!

We offer a competitive salary, a great culture and the best colleagues in town. In the end, your role will be what you make of it.

You
You fit in their team like a glove, that’s key of course. Please come find out with a coffee or a beer in their office at the Rokin. Next to a good team fit, you bring a dazzling skillset, great communication skills and you have a few years of experience in a similar role. So:

  • Are you interested in designing and developing modular, maintainable, yet stunning SPA’s?

  • Do the amazing opportunities of the web and the browser as a software platform excite you?

  • Are you eager to learn a lot and take up big responsibilities?
